A Chapter Closes and Another Starts

Last time i blogged was in december and many things have happened in that short 2 weeks.

Firstly, Christmas. Apologises to those who received not so fantantic gifts from me. Didn't have the time to get many things. Thanks to YS and RJ for their creativity and efforts on the presents, didn't contribute that much help. Great job to all the choir members, the voices were angelic.

Next up was the leader's retreat. I'm glad that the session was fruitful and things were settled. However, the constant dilema of wanting to improve the situation and not getting caught in any conflicts always arises. Can the body function to it's optimum when it has a headache? Let's just end it here.

Next came work. Did OT till like 8 plus 9. Got to meet some of the guys for dinner on monday, but I felt I missed a lot of things that day. Originally I'm suppose to end this contract on 31 Dec 08. However, the supervisor and a few staff kept insisting that I stay on. To put it bluntly across, No Contract No talk, but I had to put it nicely across to them since I'll still be working in the same company but a differnt department. In the end the issue was resolved. I was speaking to a colleague who kept insisting that it's unlikely to be promoted or get a perm job at EM. Hey, from your qualifications, of course it's difficult. What's more important is that God gave me this opening when I least expected it.

New Year Countdown. This year seems different compared to previous years. Did enjoy the time playing taboo and a few other games. Unfortunately, we did not get to see the fireworks. With that, a year with loads to talk about has passed. Seems like yesterday that I resigned from my job.

Immediately after that was TAG retreat!! Non-stop for 2 weeks. I believe it was a fruitful time of discussion. Thanks to YS and Andrew for your lessons preparations. Also to Rich and his bro for the logistic stuffs and worship. RJ for preparing the items thou it was more than expected. Candice for the games. Simon for coming down despite your limited time. Jowyne for your bubblyness and Jennifer for your constant reminders to stay focus. I believe TAG has found freshness and has it's fire rekindled. Do continue to pray that we'll enjoy burning brightly and continue to grow together. Thanks all TAGgers. Was suprised with the number of people visiting and sorry to those who were looking forward to the BBQ that night. Maybe we can hold one another time.

So now I've got this one week break and I'm not too sure what I can do. Been thinking and here's some resolutions for this coming year:-

1) Improve relationships
2) Get my driving license by July
3) Improve my physical fitness
4) Improve my Bass playing skills
5) Leading TAG to greater heights

For the past month or two, been caught up with work and I've lost the closeness of some relationships which I hold closely to. Shall not mention who. Sorry to those I've hurt and to those I've negliented as well. Therefore, my priority is relationships. Now, my question is, how would a guy who doesn't talk much communicate? I've never been one who is good with words. What can someone do when there's silence?

Thank God for bringing me through 2008 and I pray that 2009 will be a fruitful year in terms of direction and relationships.
