July 2009
July didn't start off as high as it ended, not that I'm complaining.. Getting more settled and looking forward to graduation!! Lolx.. August going to be a great month..
First weekend of July had a farewell BBQ for Tom.. Had some fireworks and a fly pass to accompany the great ambience.. I remembered that I was playing chess somewhere along that time of preparation..
Next day football at ECP.. There's this nice shot of me taking a shot at goal.. Didn't score though.. And that Swedenish kids are good in football considering their age.. Looking forward to playing with "Larsson" again.. As well as our no.7..
Next thing was celebrating MM's birthday.. Good to see her smiling especially since she had a tough week.. After that was the best.. Woke up on Sunday with a badly swollen part on my leg.. Let it be known as the ankle (it's above the ankle fyi).. Completely could move and ended up staying at home the whole day.. I even burst the ice-pack.. All the blue gel was on my leg.. Nothing disgusting about it just that I didn't realise it until the cushion was smerged with it.. Saw the doc the next day when I could move.. Then contributed to me not running for nearly the whole month of July.. Freak injury.. Zzz..
Following Sat got to drive in the simulator.. The program is pure suicidal.. Everything just wants to run into you and the best part was that I was the only student around and therefore I had a lot of time in the simulator..
Got to book my practical test date.. Timing's to my liking but not the date; 19 Sept.. TP releases the test dates at weird timings, seriously no QC, then again what do you expect??
18 July, I was walking back home and saw this old woman struggling to walk to flight of stairs.. Firstly I'm think why in the world is she trying to walk up there ALONE.. Somehow I just asked her where she wanted to go.. Decided to walk her around to a less steep slope but after few steps.. She said she wanted to use the toilet so we turned around and it was a good 100-150m to the nearest restaurant.. Since I could walk and had the time I helped her along.. The irritating part is that she kept stopping every 3-4 steps said "Si bei Tia" (very pain refering to her leg) and putting her hand into her pocket to check if her things were still there.. I'm standing there thinking; instead of complaining that it's pain, hurry up and walk to sit down la.. If that's not bad enough, I knew my facial expression was "sian".. But what troubled me was how other people were looking at me.. "What is this boy doing to his grandmother" is the look I get from other people.. Pissed off as I was I just brought her to the restaurant and left saying I had to rush.. She was trying to grab my hand and ask me to bring her in.. I left thinking: who does she think she is?? I offered to help her yet she's asking me to do so much..
In the following days I read in ODB about doing things in a different way; cheerfully.. What if the person bugs you and asks for a yard when you only have an inch?? Frustrating it may be, just do what you can.. I did what I could and left..
Sets me thinking whether it's worth helping others when they take you for granted..
Even the Samaritian did the simplest of things; he just brought the injured fellow into the inn paid and left.. Now.. Why did God even tell me to help her?? Putting Love into actions maybe(ODB July 30)..
Another one is how to serve God when one cant forgive his family.. Details another time..
Discernment.. Is something I feel is lacking among many around me.. Not that I'm super discerning myself.. Just irritated when things are not looked into properly.. I usually not bother telling if the other party keeps insisting they are right..
Jonathan and David.. Is another issue that's been repeated a few times.. Like my nick says; Koinonia.. Echo-ed by John Bevere or some speaker recently..
Question: Where does everything begin??
Answer: From your heart..
That's just a few of the QT that's been speaking out.. Obedience.. Choices.. Freedom.. Doing things happily and out of the heart.. Offering a helping hand..
One issue pestering me is how to transfer support in the most efficient way..
Last thing.. Who likes interesting sports like skiing, diving, canoe-ing, kayaking etc.. I know most of them are water sports.. What about sky-diving?? Driving is ging t be off my list soon.. Considering what's next.. Any suggestions??
